Philip received his undergraduate degree in Physics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, and completed his postgraduate studies at both the École polytechnique and the École Normale SupĂ©rieure in Paris, majoring in Theoretical Physics. He is also quite interested in the history of science, and was a Research Scholar at Columbia University for a year, where he worked with the Making and Knowing Project, a research initiative that explores the intersection of artistic making and scientific knowledge. From 2017 to 2020, he worked extensively with the Physics Department at Ashoka University as a Teaching Fellow, and was actively involved in developing the undergraduate laboratory courses. He was also a visiting faculty of Physics at the Young India Fellowship in 2020. As a Graduate Student at Ashoka, he works on modelling the spread of COVID-19. His research interests are quite diverse, and include astronomy, epidemiology, and improving science education at the undergraduate level.
