Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, Ashoka University
Pooja holds a Masters degree in Forestry from the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, specializing in Wildlife Management. Now a PhD student at Dr. Manvi’ Sharma’s lab at Department of Environmental Studies, she explores species range dynamics in the Indian Himalayas.
She is particularly interested in understanding role of facilitation in the form of carrion provisioning among carnivores in determining their range expansions and contractions in the face of global change. She is keen on exploring behavior-mediated impacts of anthropogenic disturbances among animal species that ultimately influence species range distributions.
