Rajat Srivastava

Rajat Srivastava is Deputy Manager, Scholar Management at the Research and Development Office, Ashoka University. His core area of work includes facilitating the smooth onboarding process of the research staff appointed on a contractual basis. He is also responsible for coordinating with research personnel and postdoctoral fellows while offering administrative oversight. His expertise includes proficiency in using SFACTS for tracking research personnel, maintaining records, and generating manpower reports.

Rajat has completed his PhD and postdoctoral studies at the University of Hyderabad, India with a core area of research in Plant Sciences. He has qualified national-level examinations including CSIR-JRF/LS and GATE. His doctoral research focused on “Screening of Tomato Germplasm and Functional Characterisation of Candidate Purple Acid Phosphatase Genes Under Phosphate Deficiency”. The subject of his postdoctoral research was “Development and Pilot-Scale Production of a Novel Nano Fertiliser (nDAP) and a Nanobiopesticide (Hairpin-loaded Chitosan).”

Rajat’s research and review articles have been published in various prestigious journals, such as Plant Science and Journal of Experimental Biology. One of his publications appeared in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules and earned him incentives from IOE. Rajat has also authored a chapter titled “VIGS-Based Gene Silencing for Assessing Mineral Nutrient Acquisition” in the book Plant Gene Silencing.
