Rashi Mehta

Rashi Mehta is a global entrepreneur and philanthropy leader working across technology, education, women’s leadership and community empowerment. She co-founded Rahi Systems and helped grow it from a fully bootstrapped Silicon Valley start-up into an international company operating in over 25 countries before its acquisition by Wesco, a Fortune 200 organisation.

She has built and scaled businesses globally and now applies that experience to her philanthropic work. Iron Lady Foundation is a self-funded organisation established through her entrepreneurial success, enabling a long-term, thoughtful approach to community development. A strong advocate for women and youth, Rashi studied Executive Coaching at UC Berkeley and has coached CEOs, CFOs and senior leaders across industries.

She further strengthened her expertise in systems change and strategic philanthropy through programmes at Stanford PACS, the Centre for Strategic Philanthropy and Harvard University. Rashi serves on the Board of Make-A-Wish Foundation Greater Bay Area, is a board member of Mantra4Change USA, a founding circles member of GivingPi, and a founding member and trustee of Plaksha University, an institution shaping the future of technology and education in India.

In 2024, Rashi founded Iron Lady Foundation in memory of her mother, Dr Leela Mehta, a pioneering gynaecologist whose legacy continues to guide the Foundation’s work. The Foundation is grounded in a clear belief: when women and girls gain access to opportunity, they drive lasting change in their families and communities. Its self-funded model supports long-term impact, local relevance and sustainable outcomes across education, healthcare, water, sanitation, digital inclusion and women’s economic empowerment.
