As a child, like every other, Ritika grew up listening to stories that were narrated to her by parents. Every story was followed by never-ending questions about the lives of the protagonists. This curiosity, that found a home in this little kid then, managed to stay with her all throughout. Born and brought up in Chandigarh, Ritika identifies herself as an all rounder who engaged in all sorts of activities that came her way – be it academics, sports or other extracurriculars. Being into core biology for a good amount of time, her curiosity to learn more made her apply to the Young India Fellowship with a strong aim of widening her horizon beyond Microbiology and discovering other facets of her personality that she was oblivious to. Though this seemed to be a very major shift, learning should never halt – and that’s what she lives by.
