PhD in Sociology and Anthropology
Rohini received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology from Presidency University, Kolkata. Previously, she has explored concepts of faith-making, place-making, religious narrativising. Her doctoral research project proposes to look into Hindutva-pop, religious sound and sonic efficacy, and Bengal’s religiosonicsphere. Her larger interests include popular culture, language, the arts and aesthetics, and sensoriality.
