At the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Roshan Johri studied English at Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta and Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi NCR. His research interests span across Queer Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Cultural Studies, Literary and Print Culture, and Film and Media Studies in South Asia. For his MA thesis, Roshan studied how the Jaipur Literature Festival has mediated Queer discourse in contemporary India and deliberated on positionalities that preside over such queer contexts. He intends to expand the scale of this exploration for his doctoral research, looking into the production and sanctioning of Queer discourse across the print and media landscape of India today.
