Sabahat Ali Wani

Sabahat Ali Wani is a researcher and writer, documenting and decolonizing the occupied narratives of conflict landscapes in Southeast Asia and West Asia. She is the recipient of the Young Professional Fellowship, Mentor Amiable Professional Society (MAPS) and currently works as a researcher under the Summer Research Programme, Youth Centre for Research. She aims at bringing authenticity, relevance and the element of ‘otherwise’ to the understanding of politics of war and conflict and to build or work towards peace in geographies or landscapes wrecked by conflict, human rights violations and occupation. In her leisure time, you will often find her noting down poetic lines, learning the Persian language and discussing philosophy. Apart from this, she is also a self-proclaimed best cook.
