Sagar Malik is a person who focuses on constant self-development and believes that anything could be achieved through perseverance and persistence. From being an introvert in school to an initiator and influencer in college, he strongly believes in learning through experience and has applied that throughout his life journey. He has a yearning to continuously pursue new opportunities and broaden his horizon. His hobbies are gardening, cooking and sports like football, volleyball, and Frisbee. He has also developed an interest in Philosophy recently. He served as a Team Leader in Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan, a not-for-profit organisation where he realised his inclination towards the social sector after experiencing the grassroots realities of the education system. He started looking for similar opportunities when he found the Gandhi Fellowship. Throughout this Fellowship, he lived an unconventional journey towards self-exploration and growth while going through various interesting and challenging processes. Through the next year of the Young India Fellowship, he hopes to learn and absorb as much as he can. He hopes to gain exposure to a wide variety of subjects and therefore discover his true calling in life.
