She enjoys reading about a wide variety of subjects, including feminist theory, cognitive science, philosophy of mind and language, and artificial intelligence. However, poetry and modern Japanese fiction hold a special place in her heart. Some of her favourite poets are Mary Oliver, Jane Hirshfield, and Naomi Shahib Nye.
