Sayan Chaudhuri has been teaching at the YIF Critical Writing programme since 2016. His course deliberates on the relationship between education, literacy, and socio-economic justice.
He completed his Ph.D. in English Studies from JNU, where he studied the framing of English Studies in higher education settings, with an emphasis on how classroom experience and pedagogic practices interact with the
curriculum. His research and pedagogic interests are in the fields of critical pedagogy, critical university studies, and emotions in education. He also works as a subject advisor for the development of the English curriculum at the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE). He’s a founding member of Aaina (Insta: aaina_edu), an initiative to make critical educational perspectives more accessible to a larger public.
