YIF Class of 2021
B.Arch Architecture and Urban PlanningShaireen hails from the serene temple-town of Ujjain, whose beauty and peace she carries in her heart wherever she goes. An architecture graduate, Shaireen worked at several architectural firms before moving to Pune (a city she dearly calls home) in 2018 to work as a Project Engineer. Listening to rock music, photographing the mundane, and staring for hours at the gorgeousness of the sky, are things that make her heart full. She enjoys the company of open-minded people and likes to dabble in discussions about life and people’s perceptions of reality. Shaireen also worked as a mentor for a local NGO in Pune and volunteered for several others. Her interests in public speaking and writing were the highlight of her journey in school as well as college. These skills also gained recognition amidst all her professional circles. Her zeal for writing and love for aesthetics, lead her to pursue freelance writing and content creation/management, for technical-oriented firms as well as for independent rock bands. Her yearning for multi-disciplinary education and desire to engage in brilliant, eye-opening conversations is what brings her to the Young India Fellowship. And, she only hopes to gain as much as she can and make lasting memories.
