Shivani Rastogi hails from a remote village in Varanasi, UP, where limited opportunities fueled her passion for the development sector. A merit-based scholarship recipient at Vidyagyan School, she secured the KARM Fellowship for her undergraduate degree in Journalism. She has represented her state in Football, earning the Best Player of the Tournament trophy. Professionally, Shivani was a Senior Program Associate at Dil Se Khelo, a Youth Ke Bol Policy Champion with Yuwaah UNICEF India, and has been a guest speaker at iDreamCareer. She interned at NDTV and conducted field research with the Foundation for Ecological Security. Through the YIF, she aims to refine her critical thinking and writing skills, connect with diverse people, and explore new opportunities, all to strengthen her work in Rural Journalism and advocate for her community’s needs.
