Simran hails from the city of ‘tehzeeb’, Lucknow. Although she was neither born nor raised in the city but has been living for the past few years with her family and has ever since fallen in love with the city. The city has also accepted her with open arms, so she feels. From a very young age, she has been a hard worker. Simran believes in perseverance. She has completed her school education from a district called Barabanki. Her love for mathematics made a way for her to pursue science in high school which paved her way to pursue engineering and graduate in the electronics and communication field. Well versed with general awareness and grassroots problems in the surroundings made her to think how different things or fields or even subjects are interconnected. This is the one solid reason why she got attracted to the Young India Fellowship (YIF). Through YIF, she wants to have a better understanding of life and society, so that she gains more confidence and knowledge to contribute her share towards the social causes she cares about. She loves watching movies but more than that she loves to interpret them. She believes in the power of hope and motivation and that every individual has the power to make this world a better place, but it all starts within.
