Souradeep’s research at Ashoka has primarily focussed on theoretical and computational biophysics, specifically modeling phase transition behaviour in DNA molecules. He also maintains an interest in magnetic spin models, tensor networks, computational ecology, intracellular phase separation, nonlinearity and complex systems, anything that he can work on while still calling himself a physicist. He will happily listen to your research ideas if you buy him a coffee.
He holds undergraduate and masters degrees in physics from Presidency University, Kolkata and the University of Delhi, respectively. He is a native of Silchar, Assam.
