The Bastion is a young digital media project that aims to create a platform where differing ideas can interact with each other while creating field-specific, analytical content. The fields covered as of now, are education, environment and sports. They cover the business, policy, foreign affairs and major trends that affect these areas. This project was built as a solution to growing disillusionment with traditional information dissemination, coverage and analysis. The team aims to make news production innovative, more analytical and well researched. restore public faith in journalism. To this effect , the target audience is the youth i.e. 18-30 age bracket. They also believe that a news project need not follow the traditional advertising/subscription model, and must diversify its revenue sources to survive in a constantly- at-flux industry.
