One day, Sreethi threw a bunch of paints together and learned two things: she was bad at colouring within the lines, and she could discern art just about anywhere. Her lousy artwork taught her to look for meaning in what she saw and question why she saw it. In all the places she found art, her favourite was where human lives entwined. Her passion for connecting with people and their stories strengthened when she served as the executive producer of her college’s TEDx committee. Later, holding conversations with small business owners who challenged the reality they were presented with, helped frame her intentions. She now aspires to start or work with an organisation that enables small businesses to flourish. Constantly in an environment of few voices and opinions, Sreethi was scared she would adapt to living with preconceived notions. YIF seemed like the right place to unlearn and relearn.
