Sunil Vachani is the Chairman of Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. Sunil has more than 32 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
Under his leadership, Dixon has emerged as the largest Indian EMS/ODM company in the field of consumer electronics, home appliances, lighting, security system, set top boxes, mobile phones and medical devices. Dixon manufactures these products for some of the leading brands of the industry and also exports its products to over 15 countries in the world. Dixon recently concluded their IPO with a successful listing on the NSE and BSE. Dixon’s group turnover last year was 1,350 million dollars.
During his tenure, Dixon has been adjudged as the Best Indian EMS by various trade journals and industry bodies. The company is now globally recognised for its design capabilities and low-cost manufacturing.
Sunil has been associated with various industry bodies and has headed Electronics Software Export Promotion Council of India (ESC) for two years besides being active in Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as the Co-Chair of ICTE Committee & Vice President (South) of Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA). He was also associated with Benin for over 10 years as their Honorary Consul General.
He was recently honoured as Man of Electronics by Consumer Electronics & Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA). He has also been conferred with ELCINA’s Special Jury Award for ‘Electronics Man of the Year’. Other awards and recognitions he has received include the ‘EY Entrepreneur of the Year’ and the Dataquest ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Champion’.
