Supriya Ray is interested in understanding the neuroscience of action, attention, perceptual decision-making, and executive control. To this end, he uses different complementary techniques, like electrophysiology, psychophysics, pupillometry and simulation of computational models. His long-term scientific goal is to understand the neural mechanisms underlying different cognitive processes engaged in the control of coordinated movements of the eyes and hand and identify deficiencies in the neural network that inflict failure of control and coordination in clinical conditions.
He obtained his post-doctoral training in the USA at Vanderbilt University, The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, and the State University of New York. Prior to joining Ashoka University, he was affiliated with Allahabad University as an Assistant Professor and Intermediate Fellow of The Wellcome Trust DBT India Alliance. The following is the link to the list of his publications.
