Swayanka was born and brought up in the small city of Cuttack, and feels immensely drawn to it for nostalgic reasons. Her undergraduate years helped change her perspective of the world altogether. She thinks that if we admire what everyone else does, we won’t stand out. This very thought is reflected in her advocacy for the subtle beauty of fantasy literature, body art, melancholy poems, and all things rebellious. She wishes to see the most beautiful cliffs around the world one day, where she can listen to ‘The Lumineers’ and hum along, as she writes one of her poems sipping on a heartwarming cup of coffee.
