Sweta Parna Nayak

YIF Class of 2021

B.A. Social Work Rural Development
Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Tuljapur

Sweta hails from the Temple City, Bhubaneswar and is deeply connected to her roots. She is a passionate dancer who’s always eager to learn new dance forms. She loves travelling and exploring different cultures and cuisines. She finds happiness on the stage or while reading old literature. Staring at rains and feeding stray animals are her most favourite activities.

She has worked extensively with artisan communities, tribal girls, differently abled children and cancer patients. Her love for performing arts and reading led her to become a dance teacher in an orphanage in her town and record audio books for students of a blind school in her native language. In her past years, she has been actively involved in planning and organising events.

She hopes that through the Young India Fellowship, she will get a perfect platform to collaborate and innovate new ideas which would result in a significant sustainable change.
