Aravind hails from a town named Udumalpet, which is surrounded by the Western Ghats and numerous tourist destinations. His school days taught him many life lessons as he was part of the school basketball team from 7th grade where he learnt the noble virtues – teamwork and discipline. He has several accolades in basketball and has played several state level and divisional level matches.
During his high school years, one of his teachers emphasized the importance of education and the impact it creates on the underprivileged and the transformation it brings to the poor children and their families, which made him realise and strongly believe that education can change and empower the lives of every single individual. And that made him play an active role in the youth outreach club in his college where they go to an orphanage and teach the children and help them grow and he also looks for more such opportunities where he can equip himself and hopes YIF will be the right platform that will mould him towards his goals.
He is also a Jack of all Trades and has a wide horizon of interests ranging from cooking, travel, astrology, social service, organic farming, entrepreneurship, stock market and he firmly believes that learning doesn’t happen all the time in the classroom but through the people and the type of incidents he encounters in his life. Citing the diversity of people and their life experiences and the background he is keen to learn new things and hopes that the Young India Fellowship will truly be a life-changing experience for him.
