At life’s every step, Tanay has tried to ask the question: Why? When posed against his engineering coaching classes during high school, the answer made him realize that it was actually the humanities that fulfilled him. Thus, he trained as an economist. During his training, he realised that money was a first-order operationalization of human behavior. This epiphany engendered a deep interest to explore behavioral facets in ostensibly non-behavioral issues. He employs this in every research endeavour that he has undertaken so far. Subsequently, Tanay joined the Young India Fellowship (YIF) to explore other research questions and issues that have varying behavioral aspects. In his spare time, you can find him reading non-fiction, philosophy or watching academic lectures on Youtube.
