Varun considers himself a jack of all trades and revels at the fact that he’s a misfit, and that this has pushed him to leverage his varied strengths in paving a path of his own. Varun has gradually come out of his cocoon and has eventually gone on to lead India’s largest youth festival, curating two successful TEDx conferences, working towards building a global repository of mental health professionals and engaging in policy research for the parliamentary elections. He derives immense satisfaction from impactful community engagement and has successfully complemented it with his technical acumen in his endeavours – from working with IIMB NSRCEL towards identifying learning disabilities in children through data analysis to setting up a tech innovation start-up. He now seeks to work towards gaining a broader worldview to better understand how he can give back in a meaningful way. He hopes the Fellowship will enhance his approach to problem-solving by equipping him with a multitude of diverse perspectives of thought.
