Born in Thane, raised in Pune, displaced in Mangalore and made in Bangalore, Varun would probably introduce himself as a ‘city hybrid’ in the prologue of his unamusing profile. He was that annoying kid in accountancy class who would answer every question faster than a KBC’s ‘Fastest Fingers First’ round. While his love for accountancy didn’t translate into a career, it did inadvertently prod him to explore the advertising world after graduation. Drab profile-writing aside, Varun lives and breathes football. He is YIF’s resident Otaku, as his love for anime and comics dominates his watchlist and wardrobe. He’s a lovable geek (or so he proclaims) and is always up for a conversation over coffee, provided you make it for him.
