Vighnesh completed his Integrated Masters in History from the University of Hyderabad in 2021. After that, he joined Ashoka University as a Young India Fellow. His research interest lies in the intersection of environment and urban spaces, and the technological maneuvers that made such relations immutable. His thesis aims to conceptualize the city of Kochi in Kerala as a region, rather than an encumbered space, to include the environment within its developmental modernity. He speaks Malayalam, English, Tamil, and Hindi and has elementary knowledge in German, and French.
