Zahanat holds a Master’s in English literature from Delhi University. She is a literary geek and spends most of her time reading and believes writing to be an important form of expression. She has co-authored papers in Bloomsbury Publications USA, interned with the Indian Humans Right Commission, and is currently the co-editor of the Kashmiri women-led literary magazine, Maaj Zevwe (Translation: mother tongue). She writes to assert her individuality as a woman. Through the YIF, she hopes to expand and work on her interests and simultaneously connect with people across the globe.
