The Best is Yet To Come: Pramath Raj Sinha, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, Ashoka University

Pramath Raj Sinha marvels at the remarkable journey of Ashoka with a grateful heart and an ambitious vision for the future

I cannot believe that we are at the 10-year mark. I feel overwhelmed and proud that we have done and achieved so much in a relatively short period of time. The life of a university spans centuries, this has been just 10 years.

I am truly proud that all of you have propelled us to heights we never imagined. This would not have been possible without tremendous determination. I think these 10 years mark a journey of strong and resilient determination exhibited by everyone associated with Ashoka.

There have been so many times when it felt like this was not going to happen, there have been so many hurdles, so many obstacles, so many mountains to climb. So I feel that the dogged determination of this entire team that has been behind building Ashoka has really got us here.

I am most grateful that by pure chance I got involved in this project, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I am truly grateful for all the people with whom I have had a chance to work: the students, the faculty, the staff, my co-founders and the trustees who have joined us in this endeavour to build India’s finest institution. Where do you get a chance in your lifetime to be part of something as noble, as aspirational, and as exciting?

I think our best is yet to come. This is just 10 years, I am sure there are many many more decades ahead and I look forward to being part of this journey with all of you.
