Learning Outcomes & Benefits to Learners

This online scholarship programme represents a maiden attempt in India to bring data and social scientists together to solve impactful intersectional issues with an interdisciplinary approach. Learners will have the opportunity to become data pioneers with interdisciplinary subject-matter expertise in climate and health data, with a key focus on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) and intersectionality. The programme design integrates a strong focus on real-life datasets and application of learnings for solution.

Programme Design

This online programme will take place over 20 weeks from August 2024 to January 2025. It will consist of lectures, tutorials, a discussion forum, assignments, quizzes and project presentations, all conducted entirely online. The only in-person component of the programme will be an end-of-term examination. This examination will be proctored at designated centres around the country. Arrangements will be flexible to account for any specific professional or personal constraints.

Cohort Profile, Pricing, and Scholarships

This programme is priced at INR 1,50,000 per learner. Deserving learners meeting selection criteria will receive a scholarship of up to 40%, with 50 learners to be offered 100% scholarships upon successful completion of the course.

Program Curriculum

This online scholarship program is divided into two parts of 10 weeks each. The first part, comprising Courses 1 through 5, deals with the basic notions of computing with data followed by techniques and tools for collection, curation, collation, clustering, and classification that lead to solutions to problems in a given domain.
