Kamiya loves stories – from reading and writing to living them. She writes in the intersection that brings together her diverse interests ranging from finance, pop culture, art, politics and economics, in a unique perspective. A former district-level chess player, she completed her undergraduate studies majoring in financial markets at Jai Hind College, Mumbai University – where she delved into academic research. She has always journeyed towards creating meaningful impact through her work. Her favourite verb is ‘trying’. Find her petting cats, exploring the local art scene or reviewing shawarmas as she quotes lyrics from old Bollywood songs. Through the Young India Fellowship, Kamiya wishes to engage with disciplines beyond her comfort and re-learn her own potential.
