Nandana derives her name from the peak Nanda-Devi because of her father’s love for the Himalayas. She hails from the city of Greater Noida and recalls being introduced to the world of books when she was in 3rd grade. Her interest in reading grew as she explored Amitav Ghosh to Jhumpa Lahiri to Murakami, which ignited her curiosity towards Humanities. Culture, Gender, and Mughal History are some of the motifs that interest her. Nandana describes her upbringing as multicultural because of her parents’ linguistically diverse backgrounds, which made her appreciate the importance of heterogeneity and cultural diversity. It instilled within her a critical understanding and significance of identity in one’s life. She aspires to work for change and build her career in the development and social sectors.
