Sai Venkat Nihith Bodepudi

YIF Class of 2022

B.A. Political Science, Psychology, English Literature
Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, Hyderabad

As Nihith discovered that his life inherently didn’t have any meaning, he started to find one. The questions of self (selfish) vs altruistic haunted him. His search for meaning took him to a world where he dropped out of the technical course he enrolled in and made his path intersect with humanities and social sciences. Embarking on a journey to find an answer, he met with several other questions. From polarisation to climate change, if given a chance, he wanted to create an altered social contract along the lines of Gandhi’s trusteeship. His first love, Marx, impacted his view on the materialistic world that surrounded him. One can deduce from his thought process that he doesn’t believe in mere determinism. According to him, human agency, if put to a higher cause, can alter society’s journey.
