M.Phil. English, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha UniversitySonakshi graduated from the University of Delhi, where she read English Literature. Her MPhil dissertation examined the biopolitics of ability and debility in contemporary fiction. She holds a postgraduate diploma in translation and creative writing, as well as a postgraduate certificate in the teaching of the English language. She serves as Translation Editor for Usawa Literary Review and as an educational arm assistant at Asymptote. Her writings have been supported by the ASLE Translation Grant, the Poetry HUES Fellowship, and the Diverse Voices Fellowship. Her work can be found in Asymptote, Scroll, The Locavore, The Alipore Post, Moveable Type, ASAP/Art, The Bilingual Window, Hakara, and elsewhere. A former translation fellow with the South Asia Speaks programme and a Tempus Public Foundation fellow, she is passionate about creative writing in all its forms, reading pedagogies, food literatures, astromancy, posthumanism, zines, and animal studies.
