Utsav Thapliyal

Utsav holds a bachelor’s degree in applied psychology from Amity University and a postgraduate degree in Social Work with a focus on Mental Health from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Before joining Ashoka, he worked as a science communicator at the Foundation for Advancing Science and Technology (FAST India). Utsav is deeply passionate about reforming education systems and empowering marginalised communities. He has extensive grassroots experience working with tribal communities and underserved populations, which has provided him with profound insights into societal challenges. Utsav is also a strong supporter of STEM education and actively mobilises resources to create meaningful, lasting impacts for the greater good.

Outside of work, Utsav is dedicated to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. He enjoys pole dancing, trekking, and participating in CrossFit, as well as playing various sports. Additionally, Utsav is a self-taught DJ with a passion for experimenting with sounds and exploring innovative musical expressions.
