Who Should Apply

The Ashoka Young Scholars Programme (YSP) Learning Sprint is a certified 3-day intensive summer programme designed for focused and driven high school students entering grades 9-12. It is an experiential learning programme that will progress from establishing foundational knowledge about the topic to understanding real-world applications. The YSP Learning Sprint is ideal for learners who are deeply invested in the topic being offered in your city. By the end of the programme, you will be equipped with the mindset and tools to ask the right questions and engage deeply with your topic of interest.

Eligibility Criteria Details
Who Can Apply High school students from India and worldwide are eligible.
Students Who Have Completed Class 12 Students who have appeared for the class 12 board exams and have not yet entered an undergraduate programme are also eligible.
Language Proficiency English is the medium of instruction. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
Application Requirements

Applicants must fill out an online form which will require

– clearly scanned copies of 2 previous academic years’ marksheets. Please upload the final/annual marksheets/assessment reports,

– brief description of co-curricular activities and sports along with respective certificates or evidence, and

– 250 word essay on one of the prompts provided in the application form.

  1. The YSP Learning Sprint is a day programme. Applicants are expected to make their own living and transport arrangements in the city they opt for. 
  2. Sessions will be scheduled from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm IST.
  3. Please visit the respective city programme pages (Chennai & Kolkata) for session dates, venues, and course topics.

Enrollment Process

The application process for Ashoka YSP Learning Sprint 2026  is designed to guide applicants through a clear, step-by-step journey. Beginning with an eligibility review, applicants move seamlessly through preparing application materials, selecting their preferred programme edition, and completing a simple online form. Applications are processed on a rolling basis, allowing early applicants to secure limited seats. Once accepted, students complete programme fee payments within a set timeframe to confirm their spot.

Application Preparation and Submission

  • Review Eligibility
    Before beginning the application, review the eligibility criteria to ensure you qualify for YSP 2026.
  • Gather Required Documents
    Clear, scanned copies of your final mark sheets for the last two academic years.

If your current board results (Grade 10 or 12) are pending, include your previous final mark sheets and your current mid-term results.

  • Clear, scanned certificates of your co-curricular achievements.
  • Prepare for Payment
    Ensure you have the necessary details at hand for the online application fee payment. The non-refundable application fee is INR 1,000/-.

  • Application Start Date
    Applications for YSP Learning Sprint 2026 are NOW OPEN! Ensure you have access to a reliable internet connection to complete the form.
  • Register and Verify Email
    Fill in your personal details accurately and submit to receive an email verification link to the email ID mentioned in the registration form.

Once verified, you will receive login credentials to you registered email ID. 

Use the provided credentials to log in.

  • Filling the Application Form
    Fill in your personal and academic details accurately. Double-check your entries to avoid any errors.
  • Application Fee
    Click on the ‘Payment’ tab, review details and click ‘Click Here to Pay’ which will direct you to the payment window.
    Complete the payment of INR 1,000 to finalise your application. This fee is non-refundable.

  • Review All Details
    Before submitting, carefully review the entire form to ensure that all information is accurate and complete.
  • Final Submission
    Once everything has been checked, click ‘submit’ to finalise your application.

Once you submit, look out for a confirmation receipt in your inbox, verifying successful application submission.

  • Typically, you should receive this email within 24-48 hours. Occasionally, processing time may vary, especially if there are payment delays.

Please note: All the applicants are required to communicate actively on the registered email ID. Ashoka University does not send physical copies to applicants at any application stage. All the communication takes place on the student’s email ID that has been used for registration.

Application Review and Enrollment Decision

  • Rolling Basis Review
    Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, meaning the sooner you apply, the sooner you may receive an outcome. Early submission is recommended to increase your chances.
  • Decision Timeline
    Enrollment decisions are generally communicated within two weeks of submission. For example, if your confirmation email is dated 9 March 2026, you can expect the decision by 23 March 2026.
  • Enrollment Decision Email
    Successful applicants will receive an email with a link to pay the programme fees. If you do not receive a decision within the expected timeframe, write to us at youngscholars@ashoka.edu.in for any clarifications

  • Programme Fee Structure
    3-day Programme: Rs 38,000 + GST
  • Payment Deadline
    Once you receive the admission confirmation email, you have five days to pay the programme fees.
    For instance, if you receive the email on 23 January 2026, the fee must be paid by midnight on 28 January 2026. Missing this deadline may result in the forfeiture of your seat.

Final Confirmation and Programme Guide

  • Post-Payment Confirmation
    Upon receiving your programme fee payment, Ashoka University will send you a final confirmation email, solidifying your spot in the YSP Learning Sprint 2026 cohort. This will also include an extended form, where you will be required to enter your personal details, such as arrival and departure on campus, dietary preferences, etc.
  • Handbook
    Welcome to the YSP Learning Sprint 2026! You will receive a comprehensive handbook that includes important details about the schedule, activities, and general programme logistics.
    This handbook is designed to help you prepare thoroughly for the experience ahead.
