Student Care Office
Mission
The mission of the Student Care Office is to promote the safety and wellbeing of the Ashoka community by providing coordinated support for students of concern.
The Student Care Team provides early intervention for students who may be struggling, in distress, or whose behavior poses a disruption to the campus community.
We review confidential reports, develop support plans, and connect students with resources to promote wellbeing and success. Our work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and compliance with university policy.
Goals
- To provide support for students struggling with behavioral and emotional difficulties.
- To support connections to medical and counseling services to students who are in need.
- To increase the retention rate of higher-risk students through supportive measures.
- To encourage student connections to personal support systems including peers, parents and family members.
