Alumni Weekender ’24
Alumni Weekender, held from June 14th to 16th, was a vibrant three-day celebration, reuniting alumni for networking, talent showcases, and nostalgic sessions. The event kicked off with networking opportunities, followed by a mesmerizing Night of Talents, where current students wowed the audience with unique performances, including a thought-provoking play titled “Sfatik ka Mahel” (Crystal Palace).
Day two featured “Back to School” sessions with Professors Bittu and Anunaya Chaubey, followed by a fireside chat with Ashoka’s leadership, reflecting on the university’s ten-year journey and future vision. An exclusive screening of “Sundarbans: Lives, Livelihoods, and Landscapes” from the InHerit Project highlighted the importance of reconnecting with heritage.
The gala dinner was a highlight, with alumni enjoying delicious food, lively conversations, and a concert by YIF alum Manleen Rekhi. The final day included an alumni showcase and the Alumni General Body Meeting, discussing future initiatives to keep the Ashoka spirit alive.
The Weekender beautifully blended nostalgia, networking, and the Ashoka dream, strengthening the community and its enduring values.
