Undergraduate Transfer Students

Ashoka University will have two transfer intakes in 2026. Applications for the Spring Semester (January 2026 intake) will open on 3rd November, 2025, while applications for the Monsoon Semester (August 2026 intake) will open on 1st April, 2026. Below are the key admissions dates and deadlines for both.

An undergraduate transfer programme is a pathway that allows students who have completed a minimum of one academic year of education in a university elsewhere to transfer their credits and continue their education at Ashoka University. This programme is designed for students who want to change their academic institution, degree programme, or location for various reasons, such as pursuing different majors, seeking better academic opportunities, or relocating to a different geographic area.

Applicants who have completed a minimum of one full year of academic education in a university elsewhere and must have received their grades and transcript(s) for the year of study are eligible to apply.

Ashoka University will have two transfer intakes in 2025–26. Applications for the Spring Semester (January 2026 intake) will open on 3rd November 2025, while applications for the Monsoon Semester (August 2026 intake) will open on 1st April 2026. An applicant can fill the form within the deadline. Applicants will also be required to appear for a mandatory assessment. After the evaluation, shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview.

The deadline to submit the application form for undergraduate transfer programme for the Spring Semester is the 28th of November 2025 and for the Monsoon Semester is the 13th of May, 2026.

Yes, the Office of Academic Affairs evaluates the number of credits that can be transferred from your previous institution towards your major requirements here at Ashoka. If the course equivalents are not found at Ashoka, you will be required to do courses to fulfil the credit requirements.

Yes, need-based financial aid is available for all fresh undergraduate and transfer undergraduate students.

The tuition fees for a transfer student for their first year of study at Ashoka will be 10,22,700 INR and the residence cost will be 2,00,550 INR. Essential services will cost the student a total of INR 5,700. The total fees of an academic year will be INR 12, 28,650.
