Workshop Details: 

The Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences, Ashoka University, conducted a hands-on workshop for EEG training on 5th August 2026. The 7 hour workshop was informative, engaging, and opened new avenues of research for the scholars. Starting from the basics of cognitive research, the intensive workshop covered functions of the EEG machine, its operation and handling, its administration, and finally the visualisation and analysis of data collected. Attendees were fascinated by its temporal accuracy—how it processes and captures brain signals in real time.

B. Bridging Education, Health and Science of Learning to transform Behavioural Change Workshop 2026

Workshop Details:

• Developed  an integrated behavioural change perspective, positioning the Science of Learning as central to designing sustainable and equitable interventions.
• Introduced the Cultural Ecology Framework, emphasizing the role of cultural context, learning processes, and institutional systems in shaping behaviour over time
• Establishment of a new conceptual framework for behavioural change rooted in learning and systems thinking.
• Building Systems Hackathon enabled participants to design programme based solutions to translate theory into practice. Outputs included multi-level systems maps, intervention logics identifying leverage points and failure modes, stakeholder and partnership frameworks, and research roadmaps for future pilots. These outputs provide a strong foundation for designing contextually grounded and scalable interventions.
• Generation of actionable tools and research roadmaps for pilot interventions.
• Custom GPT Tutorial-There seemed to be interest in a short tutorial on building and using custom GPTs for things like systems mapping and research synthesis.

C. Synapse Festival 2025 & 2026

• Nudgeathon (Behavioural Science Case Competition) in collaboration with Ashoka Behavioural Insights Team (ABIT) and sponsored by Sambandh Mental Health Foundation.

• PsyConnect: The Networking Mixer (in collaboration with CfE): Centered on the theme “From Psyche to Action,” the event created an impactful space for dialogue about the psychology and mindset behind entrepreneurship, between 15+ professionals across domains such as HR, marketing, consulting etc. and 30+ students. 
• Psychology Display Museum: Guided walkthroughs of the Psychology Department’s equipment and tools that are used in psychological experiments. The museum also included paper presentations organised by students from the course Developmental Psychology.
