Axon Electrophysiology DAQ
This system can be used for single cell resolution electrophysiology, and can be adapted for extracellular, intracellular, and patch clamp recordings from single neurons as well as EMGs

Electroencephalogram (EEG)
The facility is equipped with the Brain Vision ActiCHamp Plus, a high-performance 64 channel active Electroencephalography (EEG) system for recording cortical electrical activity in the human brain. The 64 channels enable a full montage for the entire cortex coverage, whereas the temporal resolution of 1 millisecond enables excellent research grade measurements possible. The sampling rate could be varied from 1 kHz to 50 kHz and channels could be assorted to suit the requirements for a wide variety of cognitive neuroscience based experimental paradigms. Live visualization makes it possible to demonstrate brain activity changes within milliseconds of behavior/brain function.


Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)
The department houses a wearable, high density functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) system that measures blood oxygenation changes in the human brain. The system, combined with software and analysis tools, can infer location and timing of Frontal cortex activity by measuring these changes. The ObeLab NIRSIT features 24 sources and 32 detectors, offering a montage of 48 to a maximum of 204 channels and could be observed live for visual inference. Its lightweight design and wireless recording options allows for naturalistic experiments with minimal subject restraint, in addition to being compatible for clinical and infant neuroimaging.
