IdeaPal is your personal assistant and resource hub for advancing Inclusive Higher Education.
Inclusive Higher Education has been an urgent need on the ground. Despite progressive legislation, inclusive higher education in India continues to face significant challenges in implementation. Disability awareness and institutional know-how remain limited across Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
To address this gap, the Office of Learning Support (OLS) at Ashoka University has been convening and organising an annual conference, Conclave, focused on inclusion in higher education since 2022. Following the Conclave in 2024, a group of universities and organisations came together through Idea Labs to begin co-creating practical, shareable resources.
Simultaneously, to give this movement further strength and impetus, the Idea Lab collective is merging with the Inclusive University Alliance (IUA) — a network of HEIs and associate organisations committed to inclusive higher education.

This platform hosts field-tested, collaboratively developed, and operationally implementable frameworks and guidelines to help institutions translate inclusive policies into practice. It will help you map your journey from the “What” offered by government guidelines to the “How” of implementing those guidelines.
