Research and Development Office

The Research and Development Office, through its four key operational areas – extramural grant management, research infrastructure management, research scholar management, and research communication – provides centralised assistance to faculty and research scholars in their research journey.

Grant Management

The Research and Development Office provides end-to-end support in securing external funding from domestic and international funding agencies to address the evolving infrastructure requirements for research. The grant management professionals work closely with faculty members, scholars, and researchers at Ashoka, providing them with the necessary resources and guidance to navigate the documentation of pre-funding applications and post-funding management. It is our mission to provide comprehensive assistance in external grant management through extramural grants, consultancy projects, and several other funding opportunities.

Academic Communication

Academic Communication

The Research and Development Office (RDO) focuses on minimising the gap between research and society. RDO’s Academic Communications wing, through strategic communication efforts, conveys Ashoka’s research efforts to a diverse stakeholder base, including academics, policymakers, funding bodies, and the general public. The Academic Communications wing collaborates with subject matter experts, faculty, and research scholars to simplify the complex scholarly outputs into reader-friendly narratives—insightful research stories, in-depth articles, and visually engaging multimedia content. Through its engaging communication efforts, the wing makes significant contributions to the university’s research outreach campaigns and fundraising efforts.
